Wayne Rooney is in line to play for Manchester United next weekend following his recovery from injury. The striker is due to train on Monday after flying back to England after his week-long reconditioning trip in America. Rooney has recovered from the ankle knock which sidelined him for a month and the England international is now set to face Wigan next weekend.
"Will Rooney play next weekend? We will have a look at Wayne. He is back in the country," United’s assistant manager Mike Phelan told reporters.
