Parma v Sampdoria

Parma v Sampdoria. Sampdoria have been steadily improving following a poor start to the season and the Genoa based side have started rising back towards the top of the Serie A table.
They will, however, have to try and compete without top scorer and star forward Antonio Cassano, who has been told he has no future at the club, following a heated argument with president Riccardo Garrone last month.
Garrone has taken the extreme measure of asking the Italian League to cancel Cassano’s contract for “insubordination” and said:
"Obviously Cassano is the best and without him, our team loses a lot,''
"But we will move forward like this.''
Since Cassano’s suspension, Sampdoria are unbeaten, but in three games they have scored just one goal and lack any invention or thrust in attack.
That may not be a problem this evening, when they travel to Parma to face Serie A’s bottom club, as in the word’s of Parma president Tommaso Ghirardi “this Parma is too ugly to be true'.
Pasquale Marino's side have scored just 6 goals in 10 Serie A matches this season and are really struggling at the bottom of the table. Unless they begin scoring goals, they are in danger of becoming isolated from the other relegation candidates, which could make it a long, hard season at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.
