This Chelsea team has problems, BIG problems but this should take nothing away from a formidable win in which some of our players were simply majestic. Johan Djourou, I love you man. I was worried to see you tweeting 35 minutes before the game but if Twitter is what helps you concentrate I’m ready to purchase the domain and change the logo just for you. You may need to help me with the cash though.
Alex Song. You’re finally there. Two seasons ago I gave this man my man of the season award and at the young age of 23 he is a beast in midfield, strong, athletic and also a great finisher. It was also important to see how he sit deeper as compared to previous games which clearly shows how THIS is his position and this is how he is to do it.
This is a big win but as I said yesterday we are to keep our feet on the ground and understand that today’s was just the FIRST step to success as there are still a lot of games to be played. But having said that, watching Robin, Cesc and Samir combine with those delicious first-time touches and knowing that all this was achieved without Andrey Arshavin and Thomas Vermaelen, well, the future could be really, really bright.
