According to the report, former three-division world champion Sugar Shane Mosley announced that his adviser will have a meeting with Top Rank promoter Bob Arum on Tuesday and ‘discuss the details and maybe agree’ on a contract to pursue a Pacquiao-Mosley fight next year.
“We’ve already discussed the fight about three-four weeks ago, so now we’ll go over it again,” Mosley said in a telephone interview.
“Both sides just need to commit to what we’ve talked about and then I think we’re done.” The 39-year old American boxer added.
Incidentally, Mosley also shared the news to former former world heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis through Twitter, saying that he is ‘just excited about the fight with Pac (Pacquiao)’.
Mosley, with a record of 46-6 with one draw and 39 knockouts, said he is willing to submit himself to any kind of testing but insisted that Pacquiao will also do the same.
Apparently, Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach announced that he wishes Mosley to undergo a drug testing after an alleged involvement of steroid distribution in 2003.
Meanwhile, no formal announcement or confirmation was revealed from the camp of the eight-division world champion boxer as of this writing.
Manny Pacquiao has record of 52-3 with two draws and 38 knockouts, and turned 32 last Dec 17 where he was said to have played the role of Santa Claus on his birthday party.
It is now confirmed the fight between the pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao vs. Shane Mosley, a former three divisions champion is on May 7, 2011 in MGM Grand, Las Vegas.

According to the news site, Pacquiao chose Mosley before Bob Arum left the Philippines after attending Pacquiao’s birthday bash last December 17.
According to Promoter Bob Arum in a telephone interview by Reuters the fight will be contested at the welterweight limit of 147 pounds.
